Capital Switchgear Apprentices Team 2022

The Company has been supporting future electricians since 2012

Capital Switchgear has been supporting future electricians since its inception in 2012.

The in-house program provides valuable skills, in-depth knowledge of the Low Voltage Switchgear products, and the requirements to deliver the highest quality projects. The benefits of the apprenticeship program are numerous, from gaining valuable experience, learning and developing new skills, and progressing with Capital Switchgear to earning while learning.

The apprentices go through four on-the-job phases and three off-the-job in an educational organisation via Solas. Solas is the State agency tasked with building a world-class Further Education and Training sector to fuel Ireland’s future. The colleges provide a great mix of theory and hands-on learning, which enables the students to understand and reason how things work and how to adapt to new situations.

Once fully qualified as electricians, the members of the group will have the opportunity to become permanent employees with Capital Switchgear.

The current team of apprentices at Capital Switchgear include:

Rafal Baranski, Cian Mooney, Aidan Green, Shane Mulligan, Edward Gouldsbury, Ross Smith, Ciaran Ryan,

Shane Murtagh, Skye Huyser, Liam Coffey & Aaron Weafer.

Over the coming weeks, we will be interviewing each member to find out why they are choosing a career as electricians, how they are progressing and their plans for the future.
